The Temse....in Black, but still Fabulous!

All My Friends are leaving the US of A...not very nice!

The trend started with my friend Barry moving to Hong Kong at the beginning of July (and will be staying for a yet to be determined amount of time). Now Grant in moving to the UK (granted it's temporary and he's going to Cambridge for a year so that's awesome!) And next is one of my bffs (yes I'm young enough to still use the term) Elizabeth is moving to Tiajin, China for "at least a year, maybe longer."....If the Shannon and Joel thing works out, another bff will hop on the international train with a possible move to London.
These events are causing me slight anxiety and I figured I haven't blogged, on this site at least, in almost a year, so why not vent!
It a happier note, I just purchased a pair of the Temse81 shoes from Aldo. They were modeled off a pair of shoes that Carrie Bradshaw sported on sex and the city...the episode where her Manolo's are stolen from the party..anyway they are fabulous and were a hard find as I searched 3 states (illinois, missouri, and indiana) for them with no luck (as well as the internet) and then decided to go down a shoe size and hope for the best. Thank god the store manager at Aldo in Old Orchard respected (and shared) my love of this beloved shoe and agreed to hold it for me over the weekend (as I was in St.Louis at the Schaffley HOPS fest) and my lovely roomie picked them up for me on Monday....My first pair of silver shoes!!! (well my first pair in the 21st century....who knows what I owned in the 80's!)
